The ground wire works too, and I have used a lot of it myself,  but my way you don't have to take any tools under with you. You just crawl grab the end of the cable and crawl out. Plus what if you get out from under the house go in and pull on the wire and it comes off, back under the house you go!!

Very True!! Plus the D-mark is at the entrance of the crawl space instead of some random place in the middle.

I use my layup sticks to grab wire out from under nasty houses/trailors and from the soffit in roofs (so i don't poke 800 holes in my head from moron roofers who used 3" nails)

I got one for ya... just got out from under a house pulling two lines at once. Walked over to collect my spools when I notice:

"the D-mark is at the entrance of the crawl space instead of some random place in the middle."                                     where's the fun in that?      the hidden splitter  makes everyday interesting.         any reel that gets under a 100 feet i use for jumpers and such, falling short on outlets sucks!    you guys run outlets with white?

Ground wire is good if you dont have a set of glow rods.
